About Us

Vision

The Organization of New Initiatives in Caribbean Communities Inc. (ONICC) was founded with one simple but powerful goal to uplift and rebuild Caribbean communities through sustainable development and shared purpose. With a chosen emphasis on Grenada, Carriacou, and Petite Martinique, our vision is to create lasting change by establishing permanent, dignified employment opportunities that allow our people to thrive right where they are.

We see a future where our villages and towns are vibrant again where the local economy supports families, young people find meaningful work, and our culture and community spirit remain at the heart of progress. ONICC stands as a bridge between Caribbean heritage and a new generation of opportunities, proving that together, we can rebuild stronger, smarter, and with purpose.

Mission

Our mission is to create economic activities in Grenada, Carriacou, and Petite Martinique that generate pensionable jobs with real benefits in a respectful and supportive environment. We want every person, especially our young adults, to feel empowered to build their future at home instead of having to migrate in search of work.

Through entrepreneurship, skill-building programs, small business funding, and community partnerships, ONICC is committed to developing industries that promote sustainability, self-reliance, and long-term growth. We aim to make these islands a model of economic independence for the entire Caribbean, driven by collaboration and genuine care for our people.

Why Us?

Our Grenadian, Carriacou, and Petite Martinique foreparents laid the foundation for everything we stand on today. They worked hand in hand in the gardens, on the sea, and in the markets, always looking out for one another and ensuring that no one was left behind. That same spirit of unity and resilience is what drives ONICC.

We created this organization because we believe that charitable contributions should go exactly where they’re intended, into the hands and hearts of the people who need them most. ONICC guarantees full transparency and accountability, ensuring that every dollar supports real projects and measurable outcomes. This is our way of giving back, honoring our ancestors, and securing a brighter, fairer future for generations to come.
